Julie Robinson
Julie Robinson travelled to the west coast from the small town of Amherstburg, Ontario, and although always being somewhat artistic, found her true inspiration in the immense beauty, vast ocean and magical old growth forests of Tofino. When she found her true love for painting, it took off and she's never looked back since, knowing that she had found her life path in creating pieces of art that light up peoples faces with smiles and serenity.
The path to screen printing...
Always having an interest in, but never really understanding how it worked, Julie always wanted to learn how to screen print. The breaking point happened in September 2009 when she stumpled upon a poster show in Seattle called "Flat Stock". She was immediately in awe upon entering the building. At this particular show, she connected with Andy MacDougall, who is known as one of the top screen printers in North America, having written what they call "the screen printing bible". Luckily Andy also lives on Vancouver Island, so Julie saught out lessons immediately. Julie has been creating prints ever since!
